Hi! My name is Susie Lucas. This is my fourth year teaching in the Barren County School system, and my third year as a North Jackson Jaguar! Before coming to Barren County, I taught general music and choir at Franklin-Simpson Middle School. I am very blessed to be able to come “home” (I graduated from Glasgow High School) once again and be close to my family. I look forward to learning alongside all of you, whether it be in general music or choir!
I have been married for 13 years to the man of my dreams. We have been blessed with two sweet boys–Brighton, who is 8, and Micah, who is 6. I love being their Mom.
I am a huge Baltimore Ravens fan and my heart is forever divided between UK Wildcat blue (which I was raised to love and still do) and Western Hilltopper red (my Alma Mater). Luckily, they do not play each other very often!
Hobbies I enjoy besides playing music include traveling (I could be a professional tourist!), reading, playing board games and card games, swimming, and working puzzles.
Currently Listening To: James Taylor (I have seen him at least 4 times in concert, and he keeps getting better and better!) My all-time favorite song is, “Carolina in My Mind.”
Currently Reading: The Chronicles of Narnia series, and working through Beth Moore’s Daniel study.
